Headquartered in Washington, DC, Empowerment Legal Services represents the Nations underserved communities with pride and skill. Founded by an Army Veteran, our organization specializes in all Veteran matters, to include Service Connected Compensation, Pension, Death Benefits, and more!

Empowerment Legal Services is committed to enhancing the quality of life for indigent individuals and disenfranchised communities by providing them with quality pro bono/low bono legal services to support their ability to acquire stable housing and financial independence

Our achievement

What we have achieved

Empowerment Legal Services (ELS) has been a proven leader at meeting the legal needs of veterans and other disenfranchised communities in the DMV area since 2019, in partnership with the Department of Veterans Affairs and the Mayor’s Office of Community Affairs. We pride ourselves on being dedicated to serving disadvantaged and marginalized communities by taking a holistic approach to meeting the needs of our client base.
Through a holistic approach, ELS has fostered economic stability, housing stability, food security, and civil and criminal resolutions for hundreds of clients across the DMV area. We have committed thousands of hours to providing free legal services for all of our clients and attained over $500,000 in financial benefits for our veteran population. Legal representation has been provided in an array of areas, including immigration, housing, financial exploitation, and other civil and criminal matters.
